Subscribing. How the hell have I been overlooking this? I'm seeing it like a TV serial in my mind - the writing is vivid, cinematic. But with authentic interiority. Blending humour and BIG FEELS isn't easy, but you're giving it to us just right. Thanks!
I finally listened to the audio with it and it's the fuckin' best. I loved the visuals. As a former veteran server, it felt so real to me. I thought I commented on this but guess I'm just crazy. I am so hooked on it.
I had a short lived stint as a server. I was fired bc I had “no restaurant common sense” and gave a man the wrong gelato and he was allergic to the pistachios (luckily he saw before he took a bite). It’s a hard fucking job!!!
Ps don't feel bad. I had one chef that would demote me for 2 weeks because he was a bully and then rehire me every other two weeks as a server until I finally bullied him back. You saved yourself!!!
The memorization thing is insane. I’m never present enough in the moment. I had a notepad and still didn’t listen. Seems brutal. And fuck bullies! At least I sorta deserved it lol.
Being a sommelier does seem like the gift that keeps on giving
It is, lots of memorizations. I am great for parties though because I watched chefs for hours and would make them answer me what they were doing so I could story teller all their food so it was "an experience" I worked in Michelin though so like I'm sommelier in wine & sake and know every kind of alcohol in the world. It's very good for parties very useless otherwise 😭
Server work is brutal. I had to retire from restaurants because burnout is real. Allergies are so common and sometimes people don't explicitly say them or if the company doesn't require a pad for writing and you'll have to memorize it is wild. I knew one girl who could memorize 40 orders of 10 items per table without writing anything down. She was a GODDESS.
Late to the party with these but I love Bianca’s inner monologue and the name stitched into her uniform reminds me of patches sewn on a biker vest so it feels like foreshadowing.
I’ll say something more thoughtful when I’ve read more of the series but I really liked this
Saw part 2, remembered I hadn't finished part 1, came back to catch up. Bianca is so delightfully awkward, and the way you write her feels very real. Great work!
Not getting a discount for one less nail seems like a ripoff. Makes me wonder how many digits you’d have to be missing before they’d consider dropping the price.
Just grow your nine nails twice as long, that’ll show them.

Thank you!!! 💗💗💗
She didnt get her number! How dare you! This was fun, even if it nearly killed the MC.
Bianca might have a heart attack but what doesn’t kill her makes her stronger! Thanks for reading, Gil. And don’t worry. She’ll find the number.
The way you write gives so much character and emotion in Bianca, I’m enthralled. I’m already excited for the rest 👀
Yippee! Super glad you liked Bianca
You nailed the angst perfectly.
Dialogue absolutely spot on. Was great to listen to, wanted more.
Good work!
Thank ya, Nick!!! And thank emily for the narration 🙌
Lock in. What a good start. The way you flow in and out of inner thought is so good all the time. And the narration!! I’m locked
Isn’t the narration fucking awesome??? Thanks for reading 💗

I love Bianca and the way she is so frickin real with those emotions. I am quite excited for this.
Yippee! I definitely wanted her to be relatable…haha
You are such an incredible writer!! Your words come across with such ease, effortless. Yet there is so much there. It’s enthralling. I love it.
Thank you Mrs. Green!! I wish it was effortless haha but I’m glad it’s coming across that way. Thanks for reading and commenting ❤️
