I like that Bianca is so caught up in the moment that she feels like sheās almost already beaten the Dyers with an idea as simple as telling Bianca and then the front door reminds her sheās in over her head.
Also the basement scene was incredibly tense. I appreciated the visceral description of werewolf Gwen and the ploy used by her brother. The āCorrect Answerā part was a great way to imply that the crowbar really was for Bianca.
Iām excited to see where this goes and how Biancaās belief that Gwenās wolf behavior stems purely from abuse will be complicated by the narrative
I donāt know the werewolf rules yet. Sometimes youāre more like a dog, sometimes youāre more like a wolf, sometimes youāre a scary monster thing. I havenāt seen enough werewolf Gwen to know what balance weāre striking just yet so part of me wondered if it would turn out that she was a little more vicious than Bianca thought.
Regardless of how werewolves work though, Gwen is clearly being mistreated, that comes through.
