Running from a blood tide and into decision
"Ate on death and thought it nutrient"
I just love that line. It feels so right to roll around in my head.
The maggot and hog slop as well.
It makes me think of painting dead things in pretty colors even though they're undoubtedly rotting.
Love this one.
Agh, thank you š
Wow, this is so sharp and vivid and clever.
"Like overripe gone rot
Like a white, killing lie
Like Iām gonna die if I marry you
A slow blue glide behind the blinds
Inside where great American ghosts hide"
I had to reread these lines a few times - they were too good!
Thank you, Gaby! I was trying to find a rhythm there. Poetry feels so different from prose to me
well you smashed it!
Fuck yeah.
Goodness gracious, you can write.
