I just love that line. It feels so right to roll around in my head.

The maggot and hog slop as well.

It makes me think of painting dead things in pretty colors even though they're undoubtedly rotting.

Love this one.

"Like overripe gone rot

Like a white, killing lie

Like I’m gonna die if I marry you

A slow blue glide behind the blinds

Inside where great American ghosts hide"

I had to reread these lines a few times - they were too good!
